Drapery fabrics and linings react very differently to moisture. We test and clean each panel by a method matched to its construction. This guards against shrinkage and water-marking.
Pleats Kept Crisp
Pinch pleats, goblet headings, and bottom hems are pressed and re-set by hand. Panels rehang with the same drape and fall they had the day they were made.
Estate-Volume Scheduling
Whole-home window treatments are a large undertaking. We do not remove or reinstall. We schedule pickup and return with your household so rooms aren't left exposed.

Fabric-Matched Cleaning
Silk, velvet, linen, and lined drapery each demand a different approach. The wrong process can shrink panels, flatten velvet pile, or leave water rings on silk. Alex's Team assesses each piece, including its lining and interlining. We then clean by the method that protects color, dimension, and hand. For an overview of how we work, see our pricing.
Pleats, Linings & Finishing
We press and re-set pleats and headings by hand. We also ease out hems and inspect linings for sun rot or separation before return. Panels come back ready to rehang, looking the way they did when newly installed.
Coordinated, Door-to-Door Service
Alex's Valet Drivers collect and return your drapery. We do not remove or reinstall — your household or installer handles take-down and rehang. We can coordinate pickup and return timing so windows aren't bare longer than necessary. Pair drapery service with household and bedding care, or schedule a pickup to begin.

$75 minimum per pickup with free pickup and delivery across San Francisco, the Peninsula, Marin, and the East Bay. Wine Country (Napa, Sonoma & St. Helena): $300 service minimum, or a $75 delivery charge each way. Same-day service available in most areas for an additional fee.
