Wash & Fold (Fluff & Fold) – Bulk Home-Style Laundry

This is a convenient, value-priced bulk service for everyday washable items (t-shirts, underwear, socks, towels, casual pants, sheets, etc.). It is intentionally designed to feel exactly like doing your own laundry at home — simple, straightforward, and charged by the pound.

How it differs from our premium per-item Laundry or Dry Cleaning services:

  • No individual item inspection – processed in bulk loads
  • No spot cleaning or focused stain removal
  • Uses only gentle, non-scented detergent
  • No bleach, no added fragrance, and no dryer sheets
  • Items are washed, dried (or air-dried), fluffed, and neatly folded
  • Nothing is ironed or creased
  • Packaged in a clean plastic liner inside our dedicated Wash & Fold laundry bags

⚠️ Important: If any garments have visible stains or need ironing/pressing, please separate them and clearly note it at drop-off. These items will be removed from the per-pound service and charged at our standard per-item Laundry or Dry Cleaning rates.

15 lb minimum order at $6.00+/lb = $90 minimum charge for standard wash & fold (machine dried & fluffed). Air-dry wash & fold is $7.50+/lb with the same 15 lb minimum.

This is not a substitute for detailed, inspected, and finished garment care. It delivers excellent everyday value for casual and household washables.

How much does dry cleaning cost in San Francisco with Alex's?

Dry cleaning starts at $19.50 for blouses and shirts, $29 for trousers, $39 for sport coats, and $68 for a two-piece wool suit — with white-glove door-to-door pickup and delivery included. Designer and couture garments are priced higher because they receive specialist handling, hand finishing, and extra time.

What is the difference between Base Price and Couture Price?

Base Price covers standard garments. Couture Price applies to designer, made-to-measure, and haute couture pieces — Kiton, Brioni, Brunello Cucinelli, Loro Piana, Oscar de la Renta and similar — which demand fabric-specific solvents, hand pressing, and meticulous inspection. Fine materials such as silk, cashmere, vicuña, alpaca, and linen, plus pleating, beading, or intricate trims, can also raise the final price.

Is pickup and delivery really included in the price?

Yes — every price on this page includes white-glove door-to-door pickup and delivery whenever your order meets your area's minimum:

Closed Sundays in all areas. Same-day service is standard in Marin and available everywhere else for an additional fee. The only other fee is a missed-pickup fee of $25.00+ when a driver arrives and the bag isn't out.
